MostFit Suspension Straps – Product Review

I purchased these MostFit suspension straps recently throught the MostFit website because my current workout includes using the TRX brand suspension straps at the gym and I love the change! But, I wanted to have an affordable suspension strap to workout with at home or traveling.

In Depth Review:

So I did a little research before settling on the MostFit brand. I found that the TRX home suspension straps are really nice but pricey costing $199.95. They also require a wall or cieling anchor at home. This means that if I traveled, I could not use these at my convenience in my hotel room, I would have to find something like a tree limb or a play structure to use them.

The MostFit suspension straps were only $20 and anchor over the door!!! Bonus! This was too good to be true. These are very portable for traveling, they do not have any metal on them so you can keep them in your carry on if need be and can be used anywhere- home, hotel, play structure or a sturdy tree limb.

The only drawbacks to the MostFit straps are you cannot easily make them shorter, which isn’t quite necessary because you can adjust by moving your body furthur away from the anchor door for standing excrecises, and closer for more horizontal exercises.

Also, when putting the strap over the door, I found on hollow core doors, the straps had to be placed on the side of the door where you will be pulling the straps (and top of the door) toward the door jam like this:

If the anchor is placed on the side of the door where you will be pulling the top of the door away from the door jam (like in the picture below), it pulls the door stressing the hinges. I am not realy sure if this is a problem or not but it weirded me out to see the top of my door bending out.
