Hey Lorraine, In my research on popular fat burning ingredients in supps, I have found that research to be spotty and somewhat inconclusive but, many of those ingredients have other health benefits and are worth a crack at taking I feel. Such as- Acetyl L Carnitine: is good for “alleviating the effects of aging and disease on mitochondria, while increasing the mitochondria’s potential to burn fat., results in research studies do not show strong evidence.” In theory, Acetyl L carnitine or L carnitine (related compound) due to its affect on mitochondria, should burn more fat. Even though studies don’t strongly support the fat burning claim, they do support its positive effects on mitochondrial function, neurological function as well as helping with insulin sensitivity.
You can try this mix or find a supp with similar ingredients:
500 mg Acetyl L-Carnitine/
2-400 mg Green Tea/
100-200 mg Caffiene/
2.5 milligrams or 1 cap Yohimbine HCLTake this 2x a day. In the AM then post workout. Nix the caffeine if taken in the evening and possibly the green tea extract (or lower the dose)

I also wanted to mention SuppRest by Natty Nutrition… it has several ingredients in there to balance hormones and help mobilize fat and such. I take it and actually notice many positive changes in my cycle as I have always had issues with imbalances and irregular cycles. My cycles are now very regular and extremely light. I don’t get cramps any more or lower back pain. So, its doing something!

Hey, very nice article. I came across this on Google, and I am stoked that I did. I will definitely be coming back here more often. Wish I could add to the conversation and bring a bit more to the table, but am just taking in as much info as I can at the moment. Thanks for sharing.
